As part of its Be Stupid campaign, Diesel has posted a catalogue-cum-music video online, featuring fans of the brand sourced via social media networks...

The video is shown above via YouTube but visit the website, and you're allowed to pause the film and click on clothing that you like the look of, and then purchase it directly online. The site also allows visitors to see information about the people starring in the film.

One of the main characters is singer Josep Xorto, who also provides the track for the film, titled A Hundred Lovers. Xorto has recently signed to Anomaly's (the ad agency behind the Diesel Be Stupid campaign) new record label and music publisher, Music Group, and A Hundred Lovers is their first release. So when visitors have had their fill buying their clothes on the site, they can also click through to iTunes to purchase A Hundred Lovers, and complete the full Diesel shopping experience...

They've clearly been watching too much Godard. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I6pOXjQLh7Y

Nice. Clever idea. Would be even better if Diesel had managed to get their end together and you could actually see it on their site.

Have they consciously remade the scene from Godard's Bande à part? Seems too close to the original not to be an homage of some kind.

David, I can't see it either. Was anyone else able to watch it?

great video, nice editing, ace tune, clothes look good, suttle earthly colours with no large stitched logos (the way i warmly remember diesel), just need to drop the titled 'stupid' campaign. Models look a little too old 2. bar that, gud werk. but hey whatta i know?

I think it is an interesting idea and really quite creative. The sound track is nice too.

I work for Diesel. They wanted us to do this dance as a "crazily outrageous" flash mob style viral advert as a competition between the stores.
Thank god they didn't, the thought of how this could have gone makes this much better.

I really wish I could read the brand guidelines of the current Be Stupid campaign. I first saw the Ads in Berlin before seeing them over here too. At first I thought it was just a European campaign that had been 'lost in translation.'

I was in a bar in SHoreditch yesterday night (The "Jaguar Shoes" on kingsland rd), and the song was on... I remebered having heard it before, so I asked the guy at the bar:
-"Hey I like this song, who's the band?"
And he said:
-"It's not a band, it's me."

The guy at the bar was Josep.
