2018 in review: Savage x Fenty collaborator Philippa Price

This year, diversity finally reached the fashion industry. At the forefront of this was Rihanna, whose Savage x Fenty lingerie line featured a truly diverse line up of models. Rihanna’s collaborator Philippa Price tells us about helping bring its catwalk show and campaign to life

Rihanna has never been your average pop star. After being discovered at the tender age of 15, the Barbadian singer is now one of the best-selling musicians of all time, and the most-streamed woman artist of all time. Aside from her 15-year music career, over the past few years she has also branched out into acting, been appointed as an ambassador by the government of Barbados, and set her sights on building a fashion and beauty empire.

The singer’s Fenty x Puma collection has been a regular sell out since she first collaborated with the brand in 2014, and last year she launched her Fenty Beauty makeup range with no less than 40 different skin tones. The latest string in Rihanna’s Fenty (a nod to her full name, Robyn Rihanna Fenty) bow is her lingerie brand Savage x Fenty, which launched in May and has been met with widespread praise for helping to address the fashion and beauty world’s longstanding intransigence when it comes to diversity.
